Meaningful Beauty credit card scam
I ordered Meaningful Beauty as a gift for my mom, and she did not like the product. Unfortunately, to order you have to provide credit card details, which are charged on a 3-month prorated basis.
I intentionally used a card that was about to expire, and before I hit the next order, I called to cancel. They apparently did not log it properly, and as a result, my card was charged again the next month, EXCEPT since the card was expired and I provided no update to the card information, they somehow charged my NEW account without my authorization (or proper expiration date or CCV#). I called to complain to customer service and she was snippy with me, telling me that she didn't have it on record that the account was closed so that's why I was charged again. I told her that she shouldn't have been able to since my card was expired, and she got angry and said "that's just how it works".
Now, once I receive the package, I have to return the product and track it, and wait for up to 30 days for it to be processed before they will return the money to my account.
In addition, she said that since I am canceling, I will also be invoiced the remaining $70 since it is still owing on my account, but that will be returned as well once they process the return. Absolutely ridiculous.
