Meaningful Beauty: Horrible products

These products do not work yet I have been charged a fortune for them. I am highly upset that this company charges so much for their products which do not do what they advertise. I was told I can not return them because it supposedly has been over 60 days since I received them, which it has not. I am truly disgusted!!! They do not stand behind their products yet they have no problem with ripping countless withdrawals from my bank account. This company falsely advertises. Do not buy anything from them! They will rip you off over and over again!!!

Scammers!

I ordered a 90 day supply and not the vitamins. My skin turned into an acne ***. I'm 39 and had decent skin to begin with, after 2 weeks of using Cindy Crawfords plan my husband and I couldn't believe how bad my skin became. I called to cancel and get a refund. Then a week later a 90 day supply of vitamins was delivered. I had not ordered them and called to see if I could return to sender. They recommend I pay so there was a tracking number because if they got lost in the mail I would be charged. I wasn't having that so I called back and insisted they send me a shipping lable. I will allow 3 days for that to arrive before I call them again. Meanwhile I have filed a dispute with American Express to be sure I get refunded in any event. What a scam. I have lost respect for her and her brand.

Unauthorized charges to my credit card

Do not buy this product. After you receive your order they will continue to send you products you didn't order and charge your credit card. Then they want you to pay to have it mailed back. Then you have to keep calling for a refund. These people should be jailed. And Cindy Crawford should do something about this. This is an embarrassment to run a business this way. The customer service was horrible when I called. They made me feel like it was my fault. I feel like I have no control when they keep charging my account. Shame on all of you.

Terrible product

they falsely display a 29.99 charge but when I tried to cancel my order due to the rash it gives they want to charge me an additional 89.00 I will be contacting bbb and tell / post everyone that cindy crawford and this product are LIES! I am so disappointed at a time when we are all struggling to get by this company can rip off innocent people. It digusts me that people can get away with this without any consequences from anyone or anything. This product is cheaply made and a much water downed wonder fo what? what are the ingredents why is it effecting our skin?

I ordered the $39.99 special as seen on TV so I could try it. The agent on the phone kept pressuring me to buy more products..

Finally I agreed to something for an extra $6.00 just to get him off the phone. I figured $6.00 wouldn't break the bank. But the first month I was billed $65. and Imagine my surprise when I was billed 47.72 the following month and again the third month.

When I called to question the charges I was told that I had upgraded my order from the $39 special to a three month supply.

I won't order this product again. It's just a big scam.

Awesome product

I do not understand anyone that would order a product for your complexion ( that is a luxury) if your bank account does not have enough money in it to cover your bills and the luxury you order. I am assuming you called them for their product, they did not call you. This product is awesome, and reasonably priced, go to macys and price their skin products. What a shock, it can cost you hundreds a month! What this boils down to is " IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY A LUXURY PRODUCT THEN DO NOT ORDER IT". Do not knock the product if you can not afford it, go to walmart and buy their products.

Cindy does plastic surgery, that's the secret to her youthful look. No chemicals on this planet can reverse aging, but there are some that accelerate the process though .

I don't know about MB, but Like the others I went through the hoops trying to cancel after the product caused a skin rash. I am not against people making a buck, but it has to be fair and square.

Where did it say I was a woman! Would not want to be one either!!! First of all, you never put a recurring charge on a debt card. You always use a credit card.

That way you request a new card number, and guess what. The problem is over. Once again, MEN prove who has the intelligence!!!

@Happy 51 - You obviously have no idea abut the real problem with this company. It has nothing at all to do with anyone's bank balance at the time of ordering and everything to do with false claims about the product (which irritated my skin just like it did so many others) as well as the company's underhanded, dishonest customer service policies.

Never have I seen a company so adept at conning the consumers regarding product efficiency, costs, billing practices, and ability to receive fair treatment in the event of customer dissatisfaction. Plese don't trivialize these issues or, worse yet, consider the issue one of consumer greed or lack of female intelligence. This is a serious problem and needs to be addressed. No company should be able to get away with outright theft from consumer's bank balances or place unauthorized charges on their credit cards.

Fair Business Practices dictate that customers with legitimate complaints about a product or the way a transaction is handled should be able to receive satisfaction. This company is dishonest about their product, their charges, their billing practices, and their customer service. I, for one, will never do business with them again and I'm advising everyone I know who has expressed an interest in Meaning Beauty to read these complaints first.

this site is for people discussing their problems / complaints about meaningful beauty's customer service / shipping/ auto billing & trying hard to cancel the service & if you like meaningful beauty then go to another site & give a good review & stop harassing these people that were unhappy for some reason & have every right to cancel if they so wish this is a problem with many companies & auto billing/ delivery wen ive had a problem with such issues i go to my bank to make it stop & you can always get a new card also try using a prepaid debit instead but for you madame what ***** you are some one who wants to cancel a auto service has every right & may do so for many reasons whether they have money in bank or not is irrelevant i find it odd you even saying such things madame have you never canceled any service b4 ??

Not reall sure what **** means, but does not sound that good. I work retail and people always want something for nothing.

I learned a long time ago, you get what you pay for. But with beauty products it is a personal thing. Anytime I have a problem of cancelation I just have the credit card company issue a new card and number. Problem solved!

Oh, never use your debit card cause it is much harder to stop that. But the people on here complaining about the product should not do that! Because everyone's skin is different and react differently to products. For you Suzanne, you must be the one that over drew her account!!!

Must have hit home to you, go to walmart and run over someone with your cart.

For someone to be mad that people obviously dont like this product and blame it on that persons bank account is obsurd! Its apparhent these people do have the funds in their accounts, some are simply stating how the products management are ripping them off by charging their account for extra bad product they never signed on for!

Meaningful Beauty held my returned product for 8 extra days

I purchased the trial product and returned it one day prior to the product expiration period. The receipt from the post office said they had received it three days after mailing it, yet they held the return for an additional 8 days so that they would not have to refund me the money. I argued and argued and argued, had multiple conversations, sent them the receipt from the PO but they still refused to credit my account, saying that they didn't receive the return product in time although it was at their facility. Don't fall for it and it didn't work at all!

This is the third product, in the last few days, that I decided to look up online reviews for. Every product had one thing in common.

Even though the informercials or commercials for the products all sounded really great the companies that sell them all rip people off financially. If a product is really good then the company selling it shouldn't have to resort to charging people for a product or products that they haven't expressly agreed to purchase. Unfortunately, these unethical companies must be making enough money at their scams to not give a rats behind about all of the unhappy customers they are cheating out of their hard earned money.

I wish I could personally thank each and every person that has sounded the alarms on these companies on complaint websites like this one. Thank you so much.

Meaningful Beauty won't clear a charge

I ordered the sample kit from Meaning Beauty which sets up a shipment every 3 months. After the first 125.50 I canceled my account. I received another set for 125.50 and sent it back. A month later, I got a bill in the mail stating I owed the 125.50. I called and was told that they did get the product back and it would be credited and I shouldn't receive another bill. The next month I got the same bill saying I owed them. Called AGAIN and was told the same story...I would be credited the amount. The following month I not only got another bill, but now they were sending me to collections. Yet, another phone call reassuring it was taken care of and i should not get any more bills form them. It is now November and I just received another collections bill!!!! To say I am pissed is so understating how I feel. The time I have spent on the phone with this company I not only feel they need to fix the bill but they should have to pay me $125.50!! ugh

Complete Rip Off. Don't Buy!

Bought as gift for my mom. Told them to switch account to her name and her credit card. They never changed the name an continued to charge my account AND her account! Products sent that were not ordered (I have 5 starter kits!) Returning products is a joke and extremely cumbersome. Set up monthly installments and am repeatedly billed the entire lump sum. After 23 calls they have still not cancelled my original account and am still receiving double orders of incorrect shipments. Product is AMAZING! MY SKIN HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER! But I would rather have crows feet and acne than lose my life savings to a fraudulent scam!

RUDE, TOOK MONEY, NEVER GOT PRODUCT

I saw the commercial. Bought the product. Upgraded to include a special promo. My card was charged $52.64. $46.65 for product and $5.99 for shipping on 12/14/2012. That same day I received an email confirmation. I was given and order number and order summary.The product never arrived.I called today, 1/7/2013 to find out when I should expect the product.They wanted my credit card number again. I gave it. They wanted my address. I gave it. They said I was not in their system. I said well, I have the Order number you emailed to me, would that help? They said, they do not use order numbers? What? Then why did Guthy-Renker LLC assign me an order number?The woman hung up on me.I called back in and this time a young man answered. He was kind. And he too confirmed that they do not use Order numbers. He also needed my CC number and my address. He wanted to confirm that I knew I was talking with Guth-Renker LLC. I read him the email I received from his company.He could not help me. He had no idea what to do.He put me on hold and never came back.STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!

HORRIBLE customer service

Company billed for product on March 5 NOT requested and should not have been billed until May 19. Expected me to get corrected due to their mistake. They also cancelled my membership without my authorization. I was planning on cancelling since u only ordered in January and its now march and had to make 5 phone calls because company did not and would not refund the charges I incurred due to their error. They don't care about customer...do not order from company. Cindy Crawford should be made aware her name is tied to a bottom of the barrel business.

Stay away from this company. they tell you one thing on the phone and do another. debited my account twice for the same order. said i was getting introductory order and turned around and gave me something else. the products i ordered was wrong...THIS IS A SCAM STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! i'M OUT CLOSE TO $200.OO DOLLARS FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT ORDER. RETURNS

I RECENTLY CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT AND RETURNED THE MOST RECENT SHIPMENT OF THIS PRODUCT. THE PERSON I SPOKE TO TOLD ME TO SEND IT CERTIFIED AND THAT WOULD EXPEDITE THE REFUND. THE PRODUCT ARRIVED AT THE ADDRESS I WAS GIVEN ON JANUARY 11TH. THIS COMPANY HAS SINCE TAKEN ANOTHER PAYMENT OUT OF MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT IT TAKES 4 TO 6 WEEKS TO PROCESS A RETURN AND REFUND THE MONEY, AND THEY COULD TAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT OUT BEFORE THEY GET EVERYTHING PROCESSED. SO I AM PAYING FOR A PRODUCT THAT I DON'T EVEN HAVE BECAUSE THIS COMPANY CAN'T OR WON'T GET REFUNDS PROCESSED.

I wrote a letter to them requesting that they CEASE sending. Of course they sent more. I sent it back. They went INTO MY ACCT., TOOK OUT $70.00 !!!!!!!!! Then my BANK dings me $30.00, so now i'm OUT $100.00, and have NOTHING to show for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the time my phone had died twice, so I sent them ANOTHER letter, that they must sign for-asking them WHAT ARE THEY DOING??????????? This is going to be THE LAST MONTHLY ORDER DEAL. Now I have to get a NEW CARD because of them, and to keep them out.

Got my order wrong & refuse to make it right

I ordered the initial Meaningful Beauty products that they were doing a "special" on. My account was debited but when I got my package it was missing items? Called customer service, who were rude and disrepectful and uncaring. They agreed to send one of the "free" extras but kept saying I recieved a different order than I was telling them and that was written on their own letter!!!! And No I wasn't getting the missing item. I have tried to email after the inital call and if you go to their email site it is blank, so I tried thru FB put in my order# etc, got a message saying I wasn't who I said I was so that email didn't go thru either. I have only been able to use what products I got once so can't give a review. But I will be cancelling any further orders even if that means I change my credit card number. They are running some kind of scam

Fraud and stealing money from my account

I just got charged $49 after canceling ALL orders. I'm pretty sure it's a scam. Cindy Crawford should be ashamed to put her name of this product. They told me I can pay to return product then they will refund in 4-6 weeks minus shipping. That's so wrong!  I'm charged and have to pay to get my money back!!! Unreal! Im contacting better business and posting warnings on twitter and Facebook!!! Many others have had similar experiences. It's unethical and fraudulent behavior that allows a company to steal money from consumers w unauthorized charges! Supervisors were very rude and denied that I even called. I have the telephone records proving I called!
