Read Before You Buy | Meaningful Beauty review from San Jose, California

Honestly, this site is just full of people who simply cannot read. It lists numerous times on their site that the first order is simply a 30-day trial and that after 30 days, you will receive the full 90-day supply, and be billed for it. The 90-day product is clearly three times the price of the 30-day trial product. So when you paid approx. $50, in 30-days you will clearly be billed $150 for the next cycle. I must say that it is stated very very clearly and repeatedly on their site. So for everyone bashing this product, read the fine print. Otherwise I should say just read the print in general, it wasn't even fine print! I've dealt with companies and offers like this before. When you order the product and do not want to keep receiving them, call and cancel! You're signing up for a subscription, which unless you cancel, you will be charged for! There are even numerous links on their site to cancel or change the frequency of your supply. So before you call the BBB, call LensCrafters, because you may be due for some stronger lenses. If you didn't know what you were signing up for, call the phone number, they tell you! So you don't even have the trouble of reading. Simple. The product is great, and the website is easily navigable. This is not a "rip-off" unless you feel the product does not work for you. So for whoever took the time out of their day to talk down on a product, save your breath.

this article review is clearly written by an insider of the company. Look at where its from.

Same area as the distribution house of this product. Beware of this article 90 percent of these people on this site can't be wrong!!! Shame on you Cindy Crawford your millionaire status isn't enough for you?

No you have to prey on the common folk and allow The Gunther company to scam people out of their money. Too many people stating the credit card was charged not just the one time renewal fee's but time and time again.

Fraud | Meaningful Beauty review from Phoenix, Arizona

I waited a long time before calling to get the product because there are so many situations out there that take advantage and trap you. Never was I told the cost would be $49.95 each month for 3 months until my next order came. Then when next order does come, the cost was another $49.95 for the next three months. I am already out of my first order so have to go on paying the next 2 months for NO product. Then I'm told my first order was only sample size items and next order in three months would be larger. I would have never signed up for $150.00 for three months and NO product because they are a smaller sized and Meaningful Beauty knows you will run out. I am very disgusted with Cindy Crawford and the good doctor. So no one can be honest anymore. My price is $49.95 because I upgraded one item. It was never explained to me or did I read anywhere the payment structure. I do love the product but not at that price and the fact we are being taken advantage of. I trusted Cindy's name and it's a scam too! Why does she have to rip women off. Not enough money from her career?

@StephWill

Most people don't go to the "site". No where does it say on any printed materials in magazines or the TV ads that you will continue to be billed.

It IS a scam and I agree with all the other comments that you should be able to get what you need, WHEN you need it! You can't even do that after you've paid all the money in your first 90 days!

I have to wait 24 hours since customer service is not helping me until then to cancel....God knows if they will cancel....I am very upset and really this is why people dont trust tv commercials

Never Disclosed True Price | Meaningful Beauty review from Las Vegas, Nevada

I fell for the ads, too. I purchased the initial kit, was debited and received products. I liked them. I still like them! Then I was debited the 2nd payment, and did receive the 90 day kit but decided $55 per month was too pricy for skin care so I called to cancel. The rep said no problem, we've cancelled your account. NEVER did the rep mention that I was paying off the 90 day supply cost of over $150, or that my account would still be debited 2 additional payments. Lying by omission is STILL LYING! When I saw the 3rd payment debited, I called THAT MINUTE and got a rep whose attitude was essentially "too bad, you still gotta pay". I insisted on speaking to a supervisor, and was connected to "Rashida". Her statement was that the pricing info for the 90 day kit is given to the customer and noted on invoices and online. To this, I objected, and stated she was forcing me to file a complaint with the BBB and to post additional complaints in online forums. At this point, she agreed to issue a credit for the 3rd payment and to cancel any and all future transactions and debits. I then emailed the Customer Service link on the website summarizing the conversation I'd had with "Rashida" and requesting confirmation that her statements were accurate. I received a reply saying future payments were cancelled, but nothing about the credit I'd been promised. I replied to their email asking them to confirm that the promised credit had been issued, but have received nothing back as yet. I've already filed a complaint with the BBB. What chaps me the most is that Cindy Crawford, someone I grew up seeing in the media and whom I have admired, has put her name behind unethical and dishonest business and advertising practices. Yes, the products are quite nice, and yes, I'm still using them until they're gone. But this in no way negates the fact that the company dupes customers, hides the actual costs of the product, fails to promptly and properly address complaints, and provides dismal customer service. Way to go, Cindy! You've proven you can be as dishonest, unethical and greedy as any American capitalist business MAN. Putting one over on hardworking women who just want to look a little younger, a little less tired, a little less wrinkled; taking their hard-earned dollars after they've cancelled their "subscriptions"...what's your cut of each dishonest debit, Cindy?...shame on you.

Meaningful Beauty - Horrible Product Review from Fremont, California

Meaningful beauty is a horrible product. I have a beautiful skin and have never had acne. As soon as I started using MB, I started seeing rashes and then full blown acne. Good thing I stopped using it within a week and now all of meaningful beauty creams are lying at the bottom of my trash can where they belong

I used Meaningful Beauty a few years ago, then started up again a few months ago. It's very nice skincare for the price.

If you want drug store products, then you should shop there. Dr. Sebagh is a renowned dermatologist, and the Creme de Serum product is like silk on your skin.

It's better than anything on a drugstore shelf. 2nd time around, I found customer service willing to work with me on customizing my kit & frequency of delivery.

Over billing and cancelations | Meaningful Beauty review

I had THE worst experience with this company. I signed up for a box that was around the $40 or $50 mark and was very happy with what I got. A month later, I received yet another box in the mail and this one then had 7 products ( larger than my first) and all full sized products. When I tried to cancel online it was impossible to figure out so I had to call their hotline. When I cancelled my account and therefore order, I was told I had a balance of $100 to pay! The woman told me the box they had sent me was a 3 month supply and therefore around $150. When I told her this was not what I had signed up for she said I could ship it back.... meaning it would cost a similar amount, or I could pay off the amount in the monthly increments. This is a terrible way to run a business and they are a deceiving company. Do not sign up for this product service, they will only rob you blind and miss treat you. If you are currently signed up I suggest keeping an on your bills for over billing and exorbitant costs.

I just had the same problem. An unexpected 2nd box showed up on my doorstep yesterday.

I immediately called them and got the run-around. Then I got my credit card bill today, and found they were charging me 59.58 for it. So I called my credit card company and said I would not pay that amount, and if they were going to charge me interest for not paying it, I'd cancel the credit card. After much "discussion" they initiated a conference call with Meaningful Beauty where I told them I had not ordered the thing, and would not spend my time sending it back, but they were free to come and pick it up on my doorstep where they had left it.

My issue eventually got escalated to a "supervisor" who eventually agreed to cancel my account, and will accept their package back by Purolator COLLECT!

They made the claim that I had signed up for this with my original package. If I did, it was because their website was so deceptive that I did not realize I was signing on for life.

My advice: If you, too, got suckered by them, phone up and insist, like I did, and eventually they will agree to take the thing back, and if you really, really insist, they will even pay to get it back.

Products Shipping Review

I was told I would receive a shipment after each payment each month. By the 3rd payment have not received any products. I called and lady told me I was paying an installment for 3 months then would receive something in August. It's the first of July which means I will be paying over $100. This is not how to run a business
