Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty

I ordered the one month supply of 49.00/month after it was on TV shopping channel for a couple of times. I checked my MC account and realized that I was charged for 90 days supply a total of 153.84. I called and talked to 3 different customer rep. each time they hanged up on me. I had to call back again. Replayed my recording machine (this is what I have learned should be done each time you order stuff like that) to prove our conversation and final charges which was promised to me at the time of ordering. It showed how repeatedly I was asking the final charges to be repeated on the phone. I even warned them that I am recording the conversation to ensure they don’t rip me off. Yet tonight all I heard was “I am sorry the order was taken mistakenly and entered mistakenly all we could do is to cancel and wait for you to return the order and once we receive the shipment we refund your credit card” I don't get it. Why are they trying so hard advertizing the product on TV and begging people to try one month supply to see how great it is if they keep on *** people off right after - to a point that the customer would never ever be considering this product anymore. I kept telling them that why would not they try to be honest and actually get the customer what they order and this way they may actually stay on the product and even encourage friends and colleagues to try it.????!!!! DO NOT EVEN TRY TO FALL FOR THEIR TV advertisement SCAM>>> I guarantee you will regret calling them-BIG TIME. I wonder how would Cindy Crawford feels about that???

Called to cancel shipments months ago

Called to cancel my whatever plan they sat me up on because the $39.95 order comes with a catch. They send u more before u know it and draft your account. Maybe I didn't understand completely but I did call to cancel any other shipments because my employer closed his business. Instead of canceling my account I find out today she suspended it for six months when I realized my bank account had been drafted again. Not only that but I won't get a refund for 4-6 weeks. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Plus I haven't seen the promising results either. This company is horrible and only cares about getting your money. No care for the customer that has helped them add more to their million dollar company.

Glad I decided to read reviews, was about to order but not now, thanks for the comment

Wow..that is sooo awful that people are sooo disappointed with this product and they are NOT standing by it!!! They say it's the best product and it keeps you looking younger when it makes your skin red!!!! What is this company doing to the consumers.????

Guest

I have the same experience. Re returning, they don't pay for the postal cost, nor do they have the real address in the invoice...

Long story short--not easy, requiring multiple calls.

I finished. Let's see if I get the refund in 4-6 weeks.

Meaningful Beauty Products

I ordered the Meaningful Beauty products back in March 2013 to be auto shipped every three months. The initial products sent to me were all broken and the cream spilled all over me. I contacted their Consumer Service Department and they told me to throw the items out and that they would send me a replacement. Several weeks went by and still no replacement. I called them again and they promised to ship out a new order. I again waited several weeks but still no product. I called them again and they told me that they sent it out so I again waited two weeks and still no product. I tried to cancel my order which is being fought with my credit card company because they will not refund me my monies.

Continued billing after return

I ordered this product once and the initial order was billed twice through paypal which i immediately fixed. I also got two shipments and returned one as soon as it arrived. But, I got a third shipment within one week of the first two and was billed for that. I immediatley called them to tell them i was returning and they said fine. Ever since i've been getting letters for payment of $49.95 for an item i returned. I called Meaningful Beauty 3 times to fix and they told me each time that their computers were down and for me to call back... now i'm getting collection letters. To top it all off, the product sucks and made me break out after first use. Worst experience.

Another Meaningful Beauty Complaint

I called after watching the infomercial a couple of times. It said it was $59.95 for a shipment. I don't remember upgrading my order, I think they just slip that in on you. So I get my order and am charged $59.95 but then wait... next month I am charged $59.95 again and a 3rd month of $59.95. So I call to find out what the deal is. Apparently I upgraded and now instead of an initial $59.95 I have placed a recurring month charge of $59.95. Even though I am a 55 year old woman, after using the product for a couple of months I am not noticing much of a difference to want to pay $59.95/month. I watched the infomercial again to see if I was mistaken and it said the shipment WAS just $59.95 and if you call now you can get it for $39.95. Now I am feeling REALLY pissed about my experience. So thinking that was a done deal, the next week after canceling I get still ANOTHER shipment. I call to say what's the deal on this I canceled my plan. I told them I would just put return to sender on it and return it and was told OH NO don't do that we will send you a return label. And I said and then I have to pay the postage to send back something that I canceled and didn't order? Well if you want to get a quick refund you do need to wait for the return label. I was VERY frustrated now and told the man I WOULD put return to send on it, and if I don't get my refund I would just turn it over to my credit card company to handle. BE AWARE! Before you know it you will be in for $59.95 a month for something that I personally don't think is worth that much. I am a hard working person and if it was a miracle product then maybe I would consider paying that price for the fountain of youth.

Harass by the collecting department for a refused shipment and poor customer services agent

I had refuse the 2nd shipment, return via Purolator same day with confirmation number. Receive first payment notice within the same week. I had sent back the note marking the return date & confirmation #. 4 weeks later I received a 2nd payment notice. I called their accounts department, the agent then claims they had just receive the returned shipment and had set the balance to $0. The same week, I started to receive calls from their collecting department, for 2 weeks I had been harassed by the calls. I called the collecting department today and they were unaware of the 0 balance. The agent suggested that I called the accounts department, which is actually the same # as the customer services. I wanted to complaint and they just keep telling me that you had a $0 balance and it would not hurt your credit. I am unhappy with their not communication between "department" and the agents trying hard to just write me off. It is not the money that matters. The services that they provide is unacceptable!!!!!! Z class.

You get what you agree to.

This company is reputable. These people who claim they were charged amounts they were unaware of... It's not the company's fault that you're too ignorant to read what you're agreeing to before you confirm. It's stated on the infomercial, commercial, and official website that your order includes auto-delivery. Stop blaming your own stupidity on a company that hasn't done anything wrong. Have some common sense and read into what you're buying. The blame lays on YOU. Continuity programs are what allow you the special pricing. Nothing is free, people. Reality check! Stop trash talking a good product, and accept your fault.

How much are they paying you to say this?

Guest

What do you say about the people who cancel and still get charged months later? That is 100% the company's fault.

Guest

Ur an *** and must work for the rip off company. When people are hired to be liars on these late night commercials and Deceive innocent people they are good at it and I'm sure get paid very well since they know up front they are gonna be scamming people out of their money.

It makes gullible people believe them. It's no ones fault but the liar *** on tv!!!! So u must have read all the bad reviews and didn't become a victim, or like already stated u must work for them....So shut up ***!!!

And to all the innocent people who have been totally screwed I'm sorry, but wanna thank u all for the true reviews posted. U allowed me to save my money and a huge headache.

Guest

We are purchasing a freakin beauty product!!! You shouldn't have to read the fine print for such a purchase but instead should feel confident in your purchase.

This company is a RIP OFF ARTIST plain and simple and until we stand up against the machine they will continue to rape and pillage the decent people who trust. They are disgusting and need to be stopped.

Guest

:eek :(The product is OK, nothing to brag about. I tried it for 6 months and was done with it.

Now 6 months later, starting on Dec 2, 2013 thats when Meaningful Beauty went over the line. I had cancelled my “Auto Refill” back in June 2013, didn’t want the product anymore. On Dec. 2, 2013 I get an email from PayPal advising me that Meaningful Beauty had just charged me $209.00 on my credit card.

I phoned Meaningful Beauty and advised the call taker that I never placed my account on active, that it was put on hold because I was thinking of closing the account back in June. I asked her to cancel the order. She stated, “I’m sorry but I can’t. The order is being processed”.

I told her, “No it’s not, if it was being processed I would have received an email advising me it was”. This went on for over 30 minutes, I got no where except her telling me she would send me a “FREE” return label to send it back. On December 4, I phoned Meaningful Beauty back, thinking I would get someone to stop the order or tell me they would not charge me unless the merchandise was not returned within a time period. Well I was wish full thinking because I got the same BS excuse.

I told her that the order has not even begun to be boxed. Again, “I’m sorry ma’am, your order is being processed. So now I’m at the point of saying, “I’m sorry,” to her because I’m now on my way of ripping someone a new rear end because no one is trying to stop this order. They want it to be shipped out, then returned and take 6 weeks to return my $209.

Is this how you treat a customer? Will I ever want to buy from them again? NO! Will I go out of my way to warn other customers?

YES! Will I file a complaint? YES! So if you ask me is this company reputable, my answer is NO.

It is the company’s fault for not trying to work with the customer. It has been 7 day’s now that I have tried to stop this order from being boxed and shipped.

It’s still sitting there in the warehouse on the shelf waiting for some employee to fill the order. Reality check, Stop trash talking the customer when we are the victim from a bad company, and accept your fault Meaningful Beauty.

Guest

Spoken like a true employee of the company or at least of a company that pulls the same BS. Of COURSE guthy/renker's legal team has covered all bases, that's their job.

But I doubt even you actually believe those agreements were not designed to mislead the consumer and hold them hostage. Unfortunately, its a fairly common tactic for companies with inferior products and services. A business selling quality products or services do not need such absurdly verbose, deceptive agreements because they already know the consumer will want what they have. Tell yourself whatever help you sleep at night, but the rest of us know that meaningful beauty sells tactics tiptoe on criminal behavior.

Don't believe me, read the complaints across the web and check state attorney general's websites. I know I've filed mine. BTW upstanding, intelligent folks who were also ripped off. Please be sure to file a formal complaint with your state's attorney general.

Its simple and can be done on their website. The more complaints that are filed, the more seriously law enforcement will look at this company.

Guest

Classic. Blaming the victim.

Have you actually read the complaints? The product was offered as a free trial. You said nothing is free, so I suppose you work for them. Let me guess, supervisor?

The claim that the youth guru makes comparing a melon decomposing to the cure for anti-aging is outrageous. I'm pretty sure he isn't searching the south of France for melons to begin with...highly suspicious. And it is obvious to anyone with an IQ above 90 that anything sold through infomercials at 3 in the morning with outrageous claims that are clearly BOGUS, that what is really going on is GR is using well-known celebrities to sell snake oil to unsuspecting people who trust Cindy Crawford. I would like to see your reaction if I stole money from your account on a monthly basis for something you were going to try for FREE.

Yes free.

I see many lawsuits in the future, and then we will see who gets money.

The worst customer service place and order when did not order one

Meaningful Beauty - The worst customer service place and order when did not order one
This company has the worst customer service ever, they just don't want to listen to you when you are trying to tell them that you want to canceled future orders, that you did not order. One of their Customer service representative Ms. T Reeding actually refused to continue talking to me when I was trying to explain that I did not sign up for another when i haven't even receive the first one. They don't want to listen. hung up the phone on me . I call right back explain how rude she was and was told they new they had bad customer service. I just receive my order and I will send it back with out even opening it. that's how upset i am.

Going on 3 months now I've called numerous times had to repeat my address every time they acted like I have the wrong address and there famous lines "I understand your frustration" I asked them to give me the tracking number she gave me the one for UPS and my post office both of them were non existing! They don't care and the "spokes model" doesn't care about anyone she cared about all the money she's making from us!! I found a product that's top 10 beauty product it's No (number) 7!! U can order or Walgreens sales it they merged with this company! It works great! And even better u don't have to deal with customer service who could care less!

These products are not worth it

They are sold by Guthy Renker...which always upsells....and it becomes almost impossible to get a refund or discontinuation of charges once they get your money. Basically, I saw the infomercial and decided to try the products. I got them. I found them oily....they sat on my skin rather than being absorbed into my skin. Also, I didn't like the smell....it just wasn't a nice smell for me. I have used Shiseido for years and I decided I wanted to see if there was anything better....and there isn't. So..I'm going back to my Shiseido...happily.

Cost is too high

I ordered this product for the $39,95 plus S&H. I did enjoy the product and could see some improvement of my skin. However one month later instead of receiving another supply of Meaningful Beauty I received a bill for outstanding balance of $96.00. When I called I was informed that the order was correct and that I still owed the balance. I was disappointed that insteadof $39.95 it cost $150.00 . I ran out of the some of the products before the 3mos. I called and cancelled the order. The gentleman I spoke with was helpful and did cancel my order. Again I found the products to be good but monthly cost was almost double for what I got.

Order Scam!!!

I saw the add for meaningful beauty and called right away. They took my information charged my account the next day but I waited over 2 week period and still no products. I called customer service and she said to use my tracking number to track my package. I stated you check my status with the tracking number you provided. At that point I stated i'm not going to chase a product that was suppose to be received by now at this point i'm done. Not willing to go above and beyond on a delivery service they use that is representing them by making sure we receive our products?! The bucket was basically put on me! ridiculous! i'm in customer service and this is unacceptable!. She then said she would re send a new order with an affidavit for not receiving the first order. I checked my account and got another charged mind you it's been a MONTH and no affidavit and no products with no follow ups. I called again to cancel everything i just want my money back. I have to wait for an inconvenient affidavit to get my money back! Get your delivery services to pick up the product using the tracking number to get it back. I have completely lost trust and don't believe in the integrity of this company. I've never been so upset! They have no ability to retain business from an upset customer by being more accommodating. I would reconsider who you're using for your deliveries as a business stand point.

Outrageous. Call the Better Business Bureau and them. A class action lawsuit is in store. The business practices of GR are shady at best. They use well-known and trusted celebrities to hawk this junk, then make it impossible to cancel or receive a refund. FREE TRIAL MY *** They are stealing money, and we need to call them out on their criminal business practices. And shame on Cindy Crawford. She has publically stated that she received cosmetic procedures including Botox. She is using the trust people have in her to take advantage of people who simply want to look a little younger.

The infomercial itself is misleading. The so-called youth guru comes out as if he has found the secret to aging. We are to believe he walks through the south of France looking at melons, and found one that didn't decompose as fast as another. Yeah right. I'd like to see the proof on that claim. And the melon extract is supposed to contain a magical serum that will help fight aging, reduce wrinkles, and make everyone look amazing. If that were the case, it would be the biggest news in the medical community. Ever. But apparently only HE has the secret melons...c'mon. He presents himself as someone who caters to celebrities only, and has line stretching around the earth just to make appointments. Reality check. He is a greedy man who takes advantage of insecure women. Google him. He was known as the BOTOX doc, not the youth guru.

It sickens me that this kind of scam is endorsed by Cindy, Valerie, etc. The product ingredients do not even contain ingredients that are proven effective in reversing fine lines. It is simply a skin care cleanser and moisturizer, that if used routinely will make the skin slightly softer and more plump because it causes the skin to retain water. You can get the same product at any drug store over-the-counter. It's a moisturizer. Olay does a better job.

I think the false claims of the product, coupled with the fact that there is no FREE anything about it, are more than enough grounds for a lawsuit.

Then the youth guru will be shown for what he is, and Cindy will be forced to admit in open court that she has had cosmetic surgery / procedures that have helped her looking young.

You have every right to be pissed, and should follow up with threats of revealing this for what it is: greedy scam that preys on trusting women.

Best of luck to you!!

I have been receiving my Meaningful Beauty for a year. Due to Financial Hardship, I had to cancel my order.

I tried online, would not allow it, I called Customer Service and they suggested to put my account on hold until May 2014 with the understanding of no more shipments or payments taken out of my account. BTW, I had not received 2 of the last shipments before I had spoken with the Customer Service. The C.S assured me I would be refunded $93.90 for the past products not received. Today I received another shipment and $58.60 was taken out of my account causing a overdraft.

Called C.C again, and was on the phone for 45 mins. Now, I need to return the product wait 4-6 wks for refund and also wait for the affidavits to arrive so I can fill them out and send back and wait another 4-6 wks for that refund. I took my account off of hold and cancelled completely due to the customer service although I Loved the products. Oh, and BTW, they will not send any emails confirming your arrangements because they have the "recording" yeah, I pointed that out regarding my last conversation and all she could say, "I am sorry for the inconvenience ma'am".

The product is wonderful, but the headaches from their Customer Service is not worth the money spent for the Quality of the product. When dealing with customer service ages you more than the product takes years off...what's the point of purchasing the product?

Products are just plain junk!

Luckily, I only purchased the $40 sample package. Honestly..this was way too much to spend on these products (that contain nothing scientifically proven to reduce aging btw). Cannot even say that I was even able to give it a serious attempt because of the immediate rebellion that my skin underwent in just 2 nights of using this junk. In the kit, I used the eye cream, the creme de serum, and the glow serum. Well, if you call redness and severe brekouts glowing..then go right ahead and give it a try. Don't get me wrong..I did not expect miracles, but this is just the poorest quality line out there and are now in the garbage. I have used Reclaim products for years (which is from yet another celebrity line, but products are FABULOUS) and was looking for some supplemental products. I will NOT be using Meaningful Beauty to fulfill that need. Don't wasre your money...wait...evenif its GIVEN to you..don't take a chance..re-gift it!

Thanks everyone for the notice on the meaningful beauty. Anything that Guthy- Ranker sells is ***.

They didi all of the above and more tome. Proactive and wen Hair system. They both suck and don't do what they say there suppost to do. Then they want to keep trying to make up for the mess ups they made and keep sending you products for nothing.

I have recieved over $300.00 of Wen product for froo and they still wanted to keep sending them to me. I told they to just clear what they were trying to bill me and call it even. For proactive. That *** burned my face and even the sensitive stuff did NOT work.

They cleared my bill too, but I'm not done with them.

I got perminute scares on my face and I'm PISSED............................... Enough said..
