Guthy Renker

The marketing company that is responsible for all the angry, frustrating complaints regarding refunds on returned items, not being able to cancel automatic delivery and the continued use of credit cards to bill customers who no longer want the product, are the same exact review complaints heard from Wen shampoo customers. Guess who handles their marketing too? None other than Guthy Renker! How are they allowed to stay in business? Surely someone out there has some clout to put them out of business. A lawsuit is needed to pay back all the people they've cheated. Are Cindy and Chaz aware of the damage Guthy Renker is doing to their reputation or don't they care?

Call the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs to report them. Do not believe Guthy Renker's comment to you about handling it.

If they were an ethical customer service/account management company, you would not be reading about all the ripoffs they are pulling on people.

They also do the same thing to Wen hair products and Proactive customers. Read complaints on both those products too.

I had a similar problem with the auto-ship felt like everytime I went to the mailbox there was a new shipment. Didn't open the box, wrote REFUSED and sent it back.

Happened 4 times after that. Called them AGAIN got a really helpful rep on the line. She not only put my auto-ship on hold for 6months, she apologized, sent me an affidavit in the mail I had to sign & send back stating that I returned the products. They not only credited me back all my $, but gave me a complimentary box of their newest products to try for free.

I love the product. If you speak nicely to the rep on the phone they WILL help you. If you're nasty (not saying you are) with them-they aren't going to help. Honestly, neither would I.

Minor speed bump that was easily corrected. I've been using this for 10 years & it's amazing!!

I cancelled my order and sent 5 boxes back could not tell any difference in the skin care from one out of the store except it is cheaper in store I sent them back in April and still have not got my money back and it is suppose to be 100% money back if not satisfied but they are telling me I have to pay for shipping and handling and they kept sending their packages after I cancelled them so who fault is that YOURS so I am very upset with this product and would not advice anyone to buy this product because it does not live up to what they say and they will reap you off would not use this product on my dog it's a scam

i have tried several times to talk to someone in upper management and no one available to talk to me. I have also asked for a call back and no one will take the time to call me back.

I have my bank statements and was charged several different amounts for your product. I was also charged several times twice a month for your product. I am not seeking to talk to an attorney and see what I can do to get my money back. Your product was sent back except the one month I ordered and used.

I refused your order and canceled it by phone and continue to be charged and product still sent to me. I did everything possible to resolve this matter and got the run around and over charged for your product.

I am so feed up with y'all scamming people and ripping them off. I want my money back that you stolen from me.

I have been customer for awhile. Ordered may 17th was told be there 7 to 10 days. Called June 2nd bc never received order. But my card was charged! !! Was told on June 2nd be there 7 to 10 days. Tools to cancel. Refused so I asked to speak to supervisor. Supervisor told me same. Can't cancel. Said I'd have to wait until I got the order said they would send me return label AND confirmation email. Never got email confirming cancelationcancelation ... this is a scam. Customer service incompetent. Will rewritten product with our without return label. Will make it so someone HAS TO SIGN FOR IT. I've had it. Horrible customer service! !!! So now I ha Ave to spend my time AND MORE MONEY BC these people like to scam. not happy! I've always paid never complained. This is how good customers get treated? ?? I can order this product from other, sites or go into ulta, bc of this experience I WILL NOT EVER ORDER AGAIN! !! They Cleary don't care about their customers! !! I would like to speak to a district MANGER NOT JUST A SUPERVISOR! !! SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS GOOD ENGLISH TO! !!!

Cannot set up online account.

In first 6 months tried repeatedly to set up online account. Made over 15 calls from Mar to Jun.

Love the product so kept trying. Always willing to change my order which I set up to pay by check so didn't have to worry about credit card charges. Customer service reps could not help with technical problems and Supervisors never returned calls. Reset account multiple times and never solved the problem.

Technical people talked in circles and I don't think they even have a clue.

Gave up and just call to change order every 3 months. If product wasn't so great I would just quit.

Difficult to cancel, Products didn't work

I followed the cancellation process and still no refund. I mailed the products back and told them not to send any more products. And they did comply with either request. I found the products to be too scented with perfume. I was dealing with breakouts after using the products. Customer service leaves you on hold for a long time when you are trying to get the issue resolved. I made over 10 attempts to get my money back. I verified that they got the package back, and cannot figure out why they have ignored my request. This company has failed on so many levels. The products also contain chemicals that are know to irritate the skin. I couldn't believe the list on the facial cleanser. Buyer beware!! It is not what you think.

was told my total bill would be 62 dollars and some sense, after paying for it all, was told I had a balance left of $99.90, and turned over to a collection agency, tried and tried to straighten things out, collection agency said I have received more packages, which I have not, Meaningful Beauty has told me I agreed to pay a hundred and sixty something dollars from the start, which I did not, not worth the hassle and being turned over to a collection agency, has given me more wrinkles than Cindy can remove.. Product is a scam

The products made my skin dull and dry, it also said FREE SHIPPING but when i received my package i noticed i was charged for shipping on my bill. i tried emailing them several times to return the product and NO RESPONSE. Its just too many steps and bottles to maintain a daily routine. one of my bottle pumps didnt work and i emailed them about it and again NO RESPONSE so i just returned the whole shipment and kept my tracking number as confirmation that it was returned. i definitely would NOT recommend buying this product as i noticed my skin getting worse

Meaningful Beauty is a scam.

Do not even bother ordering this product. The chemical that comes from the "magical french melon" breaks down as soon as it comes in contact with oxygen. You're paying more money for something that is not present within the system. I ordered meaningful beauty on August 30th 2013 (within the order there is a place where you can write a note. The note I wrote was telling them not to charge me for the 90-day supply unless I call them and order it because I'd like a chance to try the product first with no obligations...), I was billed $39.99. But then the payment was put back into my account on September 6th 2013, $45.19 was then taken out on the same day. I called and cancelled after my 30-day basic supply because the face wash dries out your face, the night cream is greasy and comes off in chunks, the eye cream doesn't even work, and the day cream made me break out... the only thing I liked was the clay face mask but it only came in the 30-day supply apparently. The account was not cancelled, I was billed $68.55 on October 1st 2013 for the 90-day kit. So I called and cancelled AGAIN. About a month later I started receiving mail that said I owed them $79.98... Even though I didn't order anything else... So I called and cancelled in November because I thought they were going to send me another package. The girl on the phone didn't give me any information regarding why I was charged again. She just said "We're terribly sorry, I've cancelled your account. Thank you so much have a nice day." I continued to receive mail threatening me to pay or be contacted by collections. So I sent about ten different emails, one for every piece of mail with absolutely no responses. Customer service is apparently non-existent. I should note... I have Severe Social Anxiety so talking on the phone is really difficult for me, I prefer to contact companies through email if I'm having a problem or a question. Every single other company I have ever e-mailed contacted me back via e-mail within 1-week. So I finally built up the courage and called them today (April 29th 2014) and here they inform me for the first time that they do everything in three "easy" payments.... uh what? Three payments of 68.55? That's $205!!!! I don't think they have a single kit that costs $205. The 90-day supply costs $119... Even two payments of $68.55 would be $137.10 But I got charged $68.55 and on top of that they want $79.98, that equals $148.53. That is $29.53 MORE than the 90-day basic supply (which is what I ended up receiving despite cancelling three times.) The girl on the phone told me "The 90-day supply costs $149.85" When I looked at the site I found that price is for the DELUXE 90-day supply... but the sent me the 90-day BASIC supply... So I told her I wasn't informed of the "three payments" but the prices don't add up. All she said was there is nothing she can do but cancel my account because apparently it still hadn't been cancelled (no kidding). I am being forced to pay $79.98 for THEIR mistakes. I called several times to cancel, sent several e-mails, was charged for a product I did not receive and I didn't even want the product I did receive. I wasn't even informed of the 60-day return policy so now I can't get reimbursed for their mistake... I think that is a strategic move on their part. Again, I wasn't informed that I was charged for the deluxe supply (even though I only received the basic supply.) Basic supply costs $119 but I'm being charged $148.53 for the deluxe supply... which (again) I did not receive. So the girl on the phone basically told me I'm SOL. I am absolutely horrified by this experience and will be posting this complaint on as many forums as possible. This is not ok, this company needs to be shut down, they are extorting money out of people by ignoring their e-mails and attempts to cancel. AND by charging them for products the customer doesn't even receive. Not only this, but my skin still has not recovered from using their products. I still have these red, irritated marks on my face, patches of dry skin on my chin and temples, and my nose has remained a beet-red colour... my nose has never been red unless I was sick but now after using meaningful beauty... It wont go back to normal. I have spent hundreds of dollars on different creams in an attempt to correct my skin after this nightmare, nothing has worked so far. And now I'm losing hope, what if my skin never goes back to normal? My skin is still tight and it's painful to even smile. Never again will I make the mistake of ordering something from a company without reading the reviews. BUYER BEWARE!

I had the same problem with my skin. I got a really bad red rash on my face.

Come to find out, it was from the MB vitamins. It took a while for this rash to disappear. I was not at all satisfied with this product. Customer service is just as bad.

I can never understand these people when I talk to them!

contact the attorney general and consumer protection,but the attorney should be first!!! They are wonderful, they love to go after companies that treat consumers like *** and with no respect!!!!!!! They will rip 'em apart. If it was me, I would contact all the news stations where you live, most channels have investigators that will bring this out on a grand scale!!!!!!!!!!

The only difference they kept charging my master card a year later!So many cons out there. I hope you get this resolved, I wrote and e-mailed and called the company I dealt with and still had to contact my MC to make sure that company could not take anymore.

Yes, I agree at how they swindle you in to ordering the 3 month supply. It sounded as if you will be paying the original $39.95 and then being charged again for your next months shipment. But, you don't get another shipment. The first shipment is supposed to last you 3 months and you are charged $120. The products wouldn't even last you 3 months. On a brighter side, I called to complain and the representative offered to send me an affidavit saying I didn't get what I ordered, and she's wiping out my balance. Very unfortunate purchase:( But customer service turned out to be helpful. Best advice I found for purchasing meaningful beauty was cancel your card after the initial shipment. Otherwise they'll keep charging and who knows if you'll get it back. It's what I did!

I'm getting the same vibe. I don't even want to open the first package even though I called c/s about an email saying my first charge was just one of three charges.

When I called them before my order even arrived I swore I'd refuse the first shipment based on their deceptiveness.

They swore I could accept the package and only get charged once. This is a terrible brand fail for Cindy Crawford.

Terrible customer service

These products weren't for me. I tried to login to get my information to return/refund my trial set; for 60 days my account has been "processing" my order and I have been "unable to make changes at this time." The message ALWAYS suggests trying again in 24-48 hours. The same message appears on screen. After calling and "speaking" with an English as a second language CSR, my issues are still not resolved. I don't have the "order number" from my trial shipment and apparently, they do not have that specific number available for me to make that return appropriately for full guaranteed refund. To make returns, get refunded and cancel this account is thus far nothing short of an awful and expensive experience. (Refunds can be expected 4-6 WEEKS after return. That's RIDICULOUS.) Run from this company. Run far and fast and spend your $600 on botox or fillers. You'll be MUCH further ahead in looks and wallet in the long run. (And likely happier with the results. Just look at Cindy's filled cheeks.)

I do not work for nor am I in any way associated with Meaningful Beauty. Been using their product for well over 5 years.

At times when my budget was to tight to order their products and at no time had a problem with stopping my account nor if the product was ordered and I had plenty left or the budget wouldn't allow it, I did not ever have a problem with the return of my money within 3-7 days. I am 53, with good genes, ( but still had acne problems into my 40's) Along came Meaningful Beauty. It is the only product, and I have tried less expensive and too expensive products to try and clear my face. Thank You Cindy Crawford for bring it to my attention, it is wonderful for the acne, the appearance of my skin.

No one, and I say it truthfully, has ever guessed that I am in my 50's. Looking younger is not my priority, but it is a very nice bonus. My husband loves the soft skin it gives me and bye to the ugly acne scars, and hello soft, beautiful skin.

If you know a product is coming every 30 - 90 days, that is plenty of notice to call and cancel, you may call your bank and stop payment on any order, as long as you return their product, it's even. There are solutions, I have never commented on any product before but, this certainly caught my attention as I have never heard their customer service rude if ordering and or canceling.

First of all I would like to say that has been already a year with an ussue with these people. Everything started when I only ordered one kit which I paid for it and the next month I realized that had been charged twice for nothing because I didnt receive anything.What I did:I called and I was ignored;they hanged up so I called my mastercard company and told them to cancel the automated payments. I though this had ended but guess what they started to send letters of `reminders` which didnt nake any sense so time passed by about a year and then surpiringly,I received a collection`s letter I was very worried so I sent a money order so they were not able to take my card information. But still received another letter.I would like to solve this problem otherwise I will be forcsd to call the government. Dont buy anything by phone !!!!!!

They send a little box, once every three months and charge 192.00 for it. It says nothing about this in the terms and conditions that I can find that states this.

This is a scam, it is not worth the money. Cindy Crawford and this company is getting rich from this. You would think, that the 39.95 is what you would be paying for future mailings, but NOT. So I personally would not recommend this.

It is a fairly good product, but definitely not worth the money.
